What this effect does
Export flattens your layer stack into a delivery format: PNG for most creator workflows, with PSD and MP4 profiles coming for Photoshop round-trips and live wallpapers. The right export preserves resolution, color, and effect balance.
When to use it
- After final layer review and toggle check
- Before posting to social or portfolio
- When handing off to a manga letterer or VN engine
- When archiving enhanced versions to Assets
- Before printing light novel covers or merchandise
Step-by-step workflow
- 01
Final layer review
Toggle each layer off and on. Confirm order: base → atmosphere → primary FX → polish (vignette/grain).
- 02
Check at Fit and 100% zoom
Scan face, hands, text-safe areas, and edges for artifacts or over-processed zones.
- 03
Choose export profile
Save finished image (PNG) for standard delivery. PSD (coming soon) for editable handoff. MP4 (coming soon) for animated atmosphere.
- 04
Download PNG
Use Export in the FX Studio top bar. Filename includes project context for organization.
- 05
Save to Assets
Store enhanced version in Assets library alongside the original generation for reuse.
- 06
Validate in target medium
Open the file where it will live — Discord, Steam capsule, webtoon canvas, or print proof.
Best Studio settings
- Export · PNG
- Default for web, social, and game import.
- Save to Assets
- Keeps enhanced art in your Anchor Studio vault.
- PSD · Soon
- Layered handoff to Clip Studio and Photoshop.
- MP4 · Soon
- Live wallpaper and animated atmosphere exports.
Common mistakes
- Exporting before adjusting layer Intensity at full zoom
- Upscale-after-export instead of working at target resolution
- Only keeping the flattened file — lose ability to tweak layers
- Wrong color profile for print (sRGB vs CMYK workflow)
- Heavy compression when re-uploading to social platforms
Export tips
- Keep original generation + enhanced PNG as a pair in Assets
- For LN covers, export at print DPI requirements from the start
- Share with #AnchorStudio when posting finished work
- Re-open from Assets → Enhance in FX Studio to iterate on layers
